TV programmes and films - what are your favourites?

Just wondering what we all watch when there's not much on the television? Quadrophenia is the obvious one of course, but I confess I've never seen it all the way through.
On the series front, on my shelf there are box sets of the Mrs Peel & Tara King Avengers, of Gerry Anderson’s UFO, some original Star Trek.
Films wise, I’ve the 1967 Casino Royale (plotless and confused, but I love every weird minute), The Italian Job, Roman Holiday, all the Beatles films (sorry…), Breakfast at Tiffany's, etc. There’s Metropolis, some lesser known French films, a Small Faces documentary, and Cracked Actor.
On the more general side of things there are also two of my favourite films, 2001 and Lawrence of Arabia, but my favourite film of all must be How to Steal a Million, with Audrey Hepburn and Peter O’Toole.

What're your favourites?

    • Well cheers for the tip mate, i am sure it will be good. Will maybe get a  chance to look for it on Wednesday.

  • Superb style and story.

    • That new 'Men from U.N.C.L.E.' Movie on TV here this Sunday. Any good?

    • In fact, a style you wore a week or so ago, reminded me of the movie ;0)

    • Oh, yes, turtle neck and suede jacket... Cheers Gary, will give it a try; no mind bending storylines in the 60s U.N.C.L.E.' s either... :-)

    • Worth a watch for the style and vespa scene alone Kai. Nothing too mind bending in the story though ;0)

    • Went to the local cinema to see it. Strange to see Kuryakin in a Harrington though. Something unsettling about Soviet spy wearing an American jacket during the Cold War era seems odd to me. ;-)

      Hoping to Phantom Threads, however.

  • Quick heads up if ure not out on the Town struttin ure Mod Stuff tonite...

Good Footage of The Small Faces and The Animals with interviews with Kenny Jones and Eric Burdon....Didn't know Sharons Dad was Music Manager Don Arden who Ripped Off The Small Faces and The Animals! Near the start of the program so you don't have to watch it all.
