What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

  • I know I bought a blue one earlier in the year (and recently picked it up at the seamtress), but couldn't resist this one...

An lavender dress, an orange dress, and a yellow/white dress. Yes, I'm well are of the yellow/white Mod target motif, but I didn't buy it for that reason... ;-)

On my recent sojourn to Melbourne - before I went to see the Rat Pack tribute act - I also bought 11 (that's right 11!) Mod/vintage dresses in fell swoop and a pair of vintage shoes. Will upload them shortly! ;-)

  • A few bits n bobs I picked up over the last week. The cds came at a very good price from a guy on Ebay, As did the badge if you can see it ! The shirt is a Relco, which to be honest will suffice as such but I wouldn't buy anymore . You get what you pay for so to speak.

    • Crazy how cheap used cd's are now, often the postage costs more than the CD.

  • Still on a quest for casual shirts, picked up a chester barrie shirt for house of fraser.  1/2 Price, 2 ply cotton, so fine for winter, great collar, quality looks great.  I find it difficult to find casual shirts unless I go bespoke, but the fit was great, quality great, 3+ finger roll and no logo, so it ticked all the boxes.

    • Yes looks nice Dave. Is that blue or rather purple? Can't make that out on my mobile....
    • Mine's a lilac check, but might have posted the blue

    • Looks good !

    • Cheers Andy, nothing spectacular but just something to laze around the house in.

    • Job done then Dave !

  • Not today; should be here by wednesday already. Just how many boating blazers does a man need!?
