What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • Lol, 28" waist! Those were the days Alan... Size 5 shoes, 28" waist, 28" chest and a 14 1/2" collar, skinny, straight up and down. I use to love shopping in the childwear section of Mothercare, ha ha. No seriously, I had nearly every colour going in the hopsack department, a cracking pair of casual pants. King O' the walk with a sour milk and blue croc Lacoste emblem ;0)

    • I have someone managed to keep my waist down to a 31 Gary and my legs are still like chop sticks....Lol. Yes know what you mean about shopping in the kids department, up until about 10 years ago I used to buy Fred Perry polo`s in the boys section in Debenhams, sadly not anymore though.

    • 31", that's still good Alan in this day and age, I'm a 30"x30". With the way processed fast food is booming, we should still perhaps check out the boyswear departments in shops and stores ;0). Menswear seems to only start at 32" waist these days.

    • Nice !

    • Very, very nice!! ;0)

    • You're a poet, Gary! :-D Oh... and nice trousers, too!
    • Thanks Kai. Always loved my farah hopsacks, and these are a smart addition. A poet? You know it! Lol!

  • Here are my new (first and hopefully last) pair of dessies... Thank you Afterpay!

    • Why your last??
    • Well, other Mod-friendly brands - Hush Puppies, Florsheim, Loakes, Bass etc. - are more for men and not women, so I'll just mope until they realise their faux pas and enjoy my Clarks in the meantime... ;-)
