What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • I like the look of those Becs. What would you pair them up with besides a great pair of legs? A very cool look for a hot day ;0)

    • Depends if I want to dress up or dress down (casual), I guess. ;-) I've been doing both since they've arrived last week.

Dress up: loafers and button down shirts

Dress down: trainers and polo shirts

      Both looks with sunglasses.

  • Not quite bought today but the other day there I received through the post my copy of this Irma Thomas classic R&B track.

    • More than a hatful of belters to pick from a very talented lady  Chris

    • Very much so Scott. Sadly the only other original 45 I have of her's is 'Breakaway' a great song murdered by Tracey Ulman in the 1980s. Was just thinking there and checked it to make sure. 'Breakaway' is actually the B to 'I Wish Someone Would Care' a beautiful soul song but not exactly a dancer.

    • I like Tracey Ullman's version. Very amusing clip. ;-) Then again, I have a bad case of being born in 1980s and from Australia, and missed it completely first time around.

    • I certainly missed it first time around too MG. Not sure what is worse, being born in the 80s or having to live through it. A terrible decade for mainstream style and music. Thank god i was never into either.

    • Actually, I don't mind some 1980s music, namely New Wave and New Romantic stuff, but that's about it really.

    • I really enjoy most new wave music but for me the best of it was over by 81. The new romantic stuff was (to me) just minging. (A great Scottish word not used enough on here)

    • Agreed Chris -there was some awful stuff around -I remember trying to get in a girls good books by going to see H2O -think Glasgow Tech -what a lemon .
