What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

  • VIP ticket to PP Arnold!! $!80 for the experience!

First ever tour of Australia!! Can't wait!

    • I have seen PP Arnold live a few times MG and she is really good. She is also a really nice person and takes  a lot of time to meet the audience after the gig to chat, sign autographs, or have photos taken.

    • What makes this tour interesting is that she's going Meeniyan! ;-) It's a small country town. Why? Lol!

    • The gigs she played here were in maybe 300 capacity venues. They were packed out so that also added to the atmosphere. I am sure you are in for a treat MG.

    • For $180, it sure will be, though having 300 people to turn out to see her would be fine thing here in Australia! LOL! :-)

    • That is a lot of money MG so I hope you enjoy the show as much as we all did. I think the most I paid for a ticket was £18 and that was for the one with the Small Fakers as backing band. As I said earleir she also came up to our club afterwards so we had as much access to her as possible.

    • Yes everybody, please keep rubbing it in! ;-)

    • I am sure she will tour the continent at some point soon Kai. I think its only Teresa May that is stopping her just now ha ha.

    • I  saw her  Dec 2014  she was awesome !

    • I think I have seen her live twice now Andy. The first time was in 2010 on the Ferry, the second time was two years ago in the classic grand in Glasgow when the Small Fakers were her backing band. Both gigs were excellent and after the second one she came back to Tailor Made and enjoyed some cool Mod sounds. A lady with a big history in music and a big heart too.
