What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • Some great tracks on that LP Duane.

    • Thanks. I've been playing it since I got it.

    • Quite right too, such fantastic sounds should be played loud and proud not hidden away in the archives. I have your LPs predecessor which i was given by a good friend in 1983.

    • Sweet.

    • I agree some classic tracks !

    • Just about every one is a brilliant track Andy.  I have maybe heard 'Where Did Our Love Go'  too many times down the years but aside from that they are all great.

    • Classic stuff, Duane!

  • A nice little Northern Soul stroller. Sadly no decent b side to this one.

  • Whilst out on Saturday I spotted a great northern soul track called 'Be's That Way Sometimes' by Bobby Wells on the Grapevine label. I did not have enough with me then to buy it so thought I would go back for it today. When I was in the record shop I thought I may as well have a short browse in the bargain section and I am thankful that I did. As well as getting the Bobby Wells vinyl ( not in the bargain section) I also got a copy of 'Respect' by St Louis Union. That is the b side to their cover of the Beatles 'Girl' but I prefer it to the A. In addition to that I bought a copy of 'The Tracker' by Sir Douglas Qunitet plus 'I Feel Love Coming On' by Felice Taylor. Three very decent records at the price of 50p each.
