What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • Nice one mum !!

    • Theres alot of nice pics in the 1963-1969 section. I wasnt too big on 70s and on Stones. There were a few good songs, but not like the older stuff of Aftermath, Decembers Children and Between the Buttons.Satanic Majesties Request was ok. Citadel, 2000 man and Gomper were alright.

    • Between The Buttons is my favourite Stones album, really.

    • I like the UK version alot better. And the Uk version of Flowers.

  • Has great pics of Marianne Faithful, Anita Pallenberg, the Stones n more.

  • Was out in Glasgow city centre today as i often am on a Saturday morning and managed to buy a couple of good second hand 45s. The Dusty in NY Ep was an excellent buy at £4 and features the fantastic dancer 'Live it Up.' The Ken Boothe reggae classic is one that i have owned for decades but at £1 it was hard to turn down. The last one by Dennis Greaves & the Truth was also a £1 buy. I had never heard the record before and after listening to it once can safely say i hope i never hear it again. It sounds like some horrible late 80s rock track you would expect from Brian Adams or someone like that.

    • The Dennis Greaves Truth record should be stamped on

    • The Dusty, ep was an excellent purchase Chris !

    • I totally agree Andy. Three of the four tracks on it are fantastic and it cost little money. I would have gladly handed over a tenner for it so the £4 price was really good.
