What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • I've never heard anything on the Atlantic label which hasn't been good Chris !

    • In general I would agree with you there Andy, but they have had everyone from Abba to Yes, with an INXS and Genesis for good measure on their label down the years so some of it will not be to my own personal taste ha ha

    • I must confess Abba,/ Genesis / Yes / INXS, do not feature in my musical tastes Chris !

    • What kind of Mod are you! ;-D

    • Music wise Kai ? Small Faces/Kinks/Who/ Dusty Springfield/ P P Arnold/ Booker T/ Otis / Sam & Dave Janis Joplin / Oasis/ Style Council / Paul Weller. Shall i go on ?

    • But... no Genesis and INXS!? ;-) But seriously, Ahmet Ertegün is my all time favourite Turk (well, apart from Mrs A., obviously, haha) for founding Atlantic...

    • Kept meaning to post these both  last week. Pretty Green tee that i got 20% off. Plus Pg jumper with a subtle hint to Brit pop  with the union jack this was drastically reduced but with a further 20% off. Factor in the free p/p and a good deal i'd say ?  Both items from Atom Retro.

    • The top tee reminds me of the Joy Division "Unknown Pleasures" album cover Andy, which is no bad thing, as I actually liked it. Bottom one, nice winter addition.

    • Very well done Al !  I'm 90% sure that i read it was  a take on a Joy Divison album. I know very little bout Joy Divison, cept was it Love will tear us apart. That and the fact the lead singer  topped himself. Seem to vaguely recall there was a programme bout him on tv sometime ago not that i watched it.

    • Yes, though Love will tear us apart wasn`t on Unknown pleasures, if my memory serves me correctly. I have 3 Joy Divison albums, though don`t recommend listening to them if one feels suicidal.
