What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

  • Browsing through the magazines in Tesco today and came across this, collectors edition apparently. Thought £6.99 was a bit harsh, but on looking through it, it looked quite interesting and contained many photos that I had never seen, so I thought why not, it can go with my Jam fan club regalia ;-)

    • Will have a look out for that Al.

    • So... are you going to buy 'his latest masterpiece', Alan!?

    • Unlikely Kai, I have heard the "Masterpiece", sales pitch, once too often, only to find that the album is far from being a "Masterpiece" :-(

    • Haha, correct; but I still hope one day with a new album this will change... he still is capable of writing great songs, but sadly most of the time he refuses to. :-(

    • Nice t shirt and jumper Andy, although if the weather in your neck of the woods is similar to up here the chances of wearing the former for the next wee while will be rare. Agree witn Alan 100% about the Joy Division connection witn the t shirt, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw it. i also agree witn him about their music, having the word Joy in their name was surely a wind up although I imagine it was included for other reasons.

If you ever decide to give up buying Pretty Green gear I have a feeling the share prices will plummet ha ha

    • Funnily enough Chris, today i've got away with wearing a tee today  not the one in picture but a Pg one but i have also got a Harrington, on so not sure if that counts ! Like the crack bout shares ! Lol ! Nice one !

    • Well i dont suppose I specified if the t shirt could be worn with another garment so fair shout Andy. Just received these two rather nice additions to the singles collection. The first is track more on the modern side of Northern Soul but brilliant none the less whilst the other is one of the more obsure Motown releases from the early 1960s. Yet again a brilliant record.
