What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • Nice tshirt Andy. Will be good for next year. Not sure where you stay but I think t-shirt time up here in sunny Glasgow is over until the Spring. (Or Summer maybe)

    • Cheers Chris, I must admit any tee's i buy now are very unlikely to see the light of day before next spring if i'm lucky !!

    • In all likelihood it is going to jacket and coat weather up here till the Spring too Andy. Just received my  own latest purchase, this northern classic on the Okeh label by the amazing Little Richard. I have had this track on an LP since 1984 but it is better again having the original 45.

    • A fine purchase Chris  !

    • More PG bargains Andy, not bad at all that, quite understated for PG really. I nearly bought a paisley Kaftan style shirt from PG a couple of months ago, with intention of wearing it on my hols in Italy, sadly I ummed and ahh...ed about it for too long and it sold out :-(

    • Al,

You're not confusing the fact it's still in the cello bag as understated are  you ? Lol ! So you in a kaftan huh ?  Way out man groovy even !!

    • Ha-ha, not at all Andy, it`s just the ones I have, have got the trademark PG paisley on them. Yes a Kaftan shirt mate, I don`t mind a bit of late sixties psych, I might even grow a droopy tache... Ha-ha ;-)

    • Not every PG  tee has  paisley interior Al,  and i never buy fakes honestly !  I can actually see you with a droopy tache listening to Jefferson Aeroplane/ Captain Beefheart not forgetting the dubious ciggie  as you gaze whistfully at your poster of Grace Slick !  Which is where you tell me you don't smoke but that's just attention to detail !!

    •  I don`t mind the paisley anyway Andy, to be honest. My son bought me my last PG T-shirt and I`ve got to admit, the cotton is good quality, really soft and close knit. Also, you`re right, I don`t smoke, never have, which is a miracle considering my Mother and Father both did, in fact he burned down 80 rolies a day, every day, hardly surprising he didn`t reach the age of 60 :-(
