What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • Get your point MG, By the same token i as a fella believe you can never have too many clothes. Although my wife isn't taken with my clothes creeeping into her  space !

  • Just bought this fantastic Dusty Springfield EP. It is not worth a lot of money but that does not matter in the slightest to me.  The tracks, 'Wishin and Hopin' 'Can I Get a Witness' 'All Cried Out' and 'I Wish i'd Never Loved You' are brilliant and I personally love her versions of the the first two tracks. The cover to me is worth the little money paid alone as it is so stylish and cool. 128134307?profile=RESIZE_930x

    • Love Dusty

    • She was a fantastic soul singer Harry, sheer class.

    • Absolutely Chris

    • Who wouldn't Motown !

    • I know Andy, what a voice.

    • Agreed about the cover, Chris. All Cried Put, is that a cover version of the Alison Moyet classic!?

    • It certainly is Kai, but I would say that the Alison no yet classic is more a fusion of post punk and northern soul glam rock.

    • You're not wrong Chris, just the cover is worth money. Superb singer absolutely wonderful. Dusty & Janis Joplin my all time fav's with honerable mentions for Pat Arnold & Julie Driscoll.
