What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • Oh Al, That almost sounds as if you're  resigned to the airchair in the evening watching Emmerdale, or whatever you  prefer ? I admit i'm somewhat selective with my gigs even if it's a tribute band but i like to get out even if it's just a meal with my wife. What's happened to the  Al, who crawled home at 4 am ish buzzing and sometimes almost crawling the last few steps huh ? Having said that you are man after my own heart i adore buying clothes a weakness for me as well ! I thought about therapy then thought Nah !

    • The Al now is 30 years older Andy....Ha-ha, but seriously, I do get out, but not every week these days. I have a few gigs coming up, along with at least a couple of weekenders, which I am really looking forward to. I enjoy a drive out with the wife on a Sunday, when we will stop off somewhere and have lunch, those days I will wear a nice cashmere roll neck sweater with a pair of trousers and smart shoes.I get some funny looks in a country pub, when I walk in looking like Napoleon Solo....Ha-ha.

    • Ahh thats more like it Al, i was beginning to think that maybe yiu were thinking about getting an allotment and growing beans and cabbages or whatever they grow on em ! Re Sunday lunch i trust you don't introduce your wife as uncle  !

  • 1020835137?profile=RESIZE_930xHaven't posted on this thread for a while, so here goes. A nice pair of brown suede Clarks loafers, with the summer in mind. Hopefully to walk around Italy in.

    • Very smart indeed mate, a fine purcase for that money.

    • Like em Al !

    • Cheers gentlemen, I do love a bargain.

    • Beautiful! I love suede shoes.

    • Cheers Kai, at just £28 GBP, in the sale, I contemplated putting them on JP's, "Mod bargain buys" thread ;-)
