What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • What make are the trousers,  Alan?

    • I got them from Skopes Kai, a gentlemens outfitters in my town, not keen on most of their clothing as it is too mainstream generally, but these trousers caught my eye, were really comfortable and had a few attributes that I like.

  • Ivy style jacket by Hardy & Johnson. Not arrived yet, but this seems to be the hold grail in my quest for the perfect navy blazer so far!3814483499?profile=RESIZE_930x3814483914?profile=RESIZE_930x

    • Like it Kai, the 3 button blazer is not an easy one to find, in a world of two buttons, strangely enough I have just bought a new set of buttons for my blazer ;-)

    • Did you take s look at the H&J Facebook page, Alan? Fantastic stuff there...

    • No, Kai, I'll have a look.

    • Yeah, looks good all over.l got one made a while back at a tailors in Liverpool as l couldn't find anything any good .

    • That looks right on the mark...lapels not too wide..not too narrow..great texture in the cloth..

    • Looks good Kai. You got lucky as I read H and J are closing down for the foreseeable and selling off their gear at marked down prices. I never bought anything from them but they looked like having some nice one off jackets. Sad to hear of a vendor who caters to our particular look closing up.

    • Yes it's a reduced price, Rod, but I didn't know about them closing shop... that would be a loss indeed...
