What I bought today...

Just thought that I'd start this topic as nobody has [bothered?] to start it yet!

I was in one of my local charity shops today and bought these women's basket-weave, tassel loafers for only $8.50 AUD! Absolutely brill, to say the least! ;-) Now I can wear them with my new trousers from Sportscraft (see link below) and my Ben Sherman boating blazers! They were made by Australian shoe manufacturer Sandler, as part of their "Easy Steps" collection which still exists today. I think these shoes were an absolute find and would make excellent work and leisure (by that I mean dancing) shoes!

I also picked up two of my lay-aways. The first being two pairs of capris trousers - one pair in black and another in navy. Don't let the "capri" style fool you. They actually look like full-length trouser on me. I paid $105 AUD for each pair, instead of $150.

The second lay-away I picked up today was this lovely dress from Target that I purchased on sale a couple of months ago!

Happy shopping my Mod brothers and sisters! Look forward to reading and seeing what you've bought!

    • Stunning stuff as usual, Bec. I take it you're save and sound down under...!?

    • Very safe. The smoke haze from it all is very eerie. I have CWA friends all over Australia who may have been affected by the bushfires. If it's not them, it's the drought.

    • Good gear MG. Nice to have you back posting, been a bit "geezerish" round here lately. ;o).  Do you think you'll make the Quant exhibition before it closes, not long left now.

    • You mean this forum has become like Apu's 'Geezers in Freezers'? See video below! ;-) :-D

    • Thanks Steve. Sadly, no. I had hoped to go last year, but I had slowly but surely broke down and I didn't see it coming. I have the book, poster and the tote bag... Some of the items at the exhibition I have in my wardrobe! ;-)

    • Sorry to hear that you won't make it MG and that things haven't been so great for you. I hope your being on here is a sign that the black dog is loosing his grip and you're starting to feel you can put the burden down for a while. As I mentioned when I started posting, I find this place is a worry free, safe environment where we can be ourselves amongst friends, it means a lot and helped my recovery. Take good care of yourself; Mod is just the best therapy!!

  •  Having bought anything clothing wise for a few months, so thought I had better treat myself.Dna shirt, blue checked trousers and a nice thick tweed wool overcoat.3815800030?profile=RESIZE_710x3815800617?profile=RESIZE_930x3815801238?profile=RESIZE_930x

    • Very nice Alan, particularly the shirt. I really like it when you get virtually a whole new outfit at once as it not only looks good as an ensemble but it reinvigorates the whole wardrobe too.

    • Cheers Steve, with the coffee and dark brown stripes, I think it will go nice with the dark brown whistle, I am about to buy ;-)

    • Love the button positions on the shirt Al, especially the top three!
