What is your getup?

Hello, everyone. I'm quite new to the mod scene, this being my first forum thread, and was just wondering what your average outfit would be? Today, im sporting docs, navy jeans and a white polo with my Belgian parka to top it all off! I'm also in search for a lightweight coat/jacket for those hotter rainy days. If you have any better suggestions, please tell me! Below are the two that i'm inclined to:

Thanks and hope to hear from you all soon!

Rob

  • I'm new here as well.just missed out on the 79 revival. but always followed the fashion

ok in the neck but the body's like a tent .will I have to eat a lot more to fill out the xl shirt .
    I normally buy ben sherman.
    • JTG are perfect for people with slim builds but huge necks.

    • Hmmm. I'm a 39.5inch chest and 16.5 neck in JTG. Don't think that's too huge a neck...
    • Sorry Mark, that`s a Bulldog neck......Ha-ha.

No seriously I`m a 16.5 too, 40 inch chest 30 waist, most people with 30 waists have necks like pencils, so depends how one looks at it really, if someone is thick set, 16.5 isn`t a big neck size at all, but it is for a slim guy. I put it down to my Grandad, who was 5 ft 10 and as wide as he was tall, he was a 22 inch collar and had to have his shirts specially made. I didn`t get the all round big build, just the neck I think.....Ha-ha.

    • Haha Al. Think I'm being trolled again;-)
    • Would I do a thing like that Mark....Ha-ha.

    • Not you fella..DD.
    • There`s me thinking MG is one big happy family.....Ha-ha.

    • Micky, I agree with Al's comments re JTG and DNA. Also try Adam of London as well, I find their shirts really true to size. Can I give some advice mate...steer clear of mass market dial-a-mod brands like Ben Sherman, Merc and Lambretta. JTG, AOL and DNA will see you right for shirts, trews, suits and shoes and will give great advice.
    • Try Jump the gun shirts Micky or even DNA Groove(which in my opinion are the best), they are more fitted in the body. I have quite a big neck for a slim bloke and I find both DNA and JTG shirts fine ;-)
