  • Thanks Kai, found one record shop online might do some more Google searching.

  • P.S. maybe ask MG member Bettina; her profile says Hamburg, but she's been living in Berlin for a few years...
  • Hi Richard, sorry to say I'm not really helpful when it comes to Berlin. Only been twice myself, last time about 10 years ago. I remember a very nice Fred Perry shop near "Hackesche Höfe", which are a number of interconnected backyards full of shops, galleries, bars and restaurants and are nice to visit in any case. I also remember some good record shops directly on Kurfürstendamm, the biggest shopping street of all; something like the Berlin Oxford Street, if you like. I'm sure there's a lot more, so some more Google -ing might help?
  • I've just thought! I think the F & G was called The Cavendish in the 80s, I remember sending Yvonne out with a meat raffle and hearing a multitude of voices calling for her husband "to offer us the meat" - scary joint (excuse the pun) and the barman fancied me as well!

  • Cheers mate - by the way apart from a few 60s years in the smoke I'm stilla Doncaster boy, that could be good or bad depending on how you view the town these days! Worksop: I used to run a quiz at the Frog & Nightgown, is it still on the go? Interesting venue, I'm not gay by the way, the FRog was bent as a nine-bob note in the 80s!

  • Nice to see a local boy (close anyway!) arrive, welcome.
